THE ORCHARD GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB COURSE POLICIES
Dear Guest,
On behalf of the membership, management and staff we welcome you to The Orchard Golf & Country Club. We are pleased that you chose to spend a day on Northeast Georgia’s premiere golf course. The Orchard is a semi-private club with paying members who play an active role in maintaining our beautiful golf course. We ask that while you visit The Orchard you respect and abide by our local rules. Both our staff and members monitor the golf course and ask that you do your part in keeping it in pristine condition. We thank you in advance for abiding by the following rules:
1. The average round of golf is 3 hours and 45 minutes. Please play at a pace to keep up with the group in front of you. If a group is waiting on you for more than one hole, please play at a faster rate or allow them to play through your group.
2. All players are to maintain a minimal distance of 30 yards from the green. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTION MADE TO THIS RULE.
3. Please repair all ball marks and sand all divots. Each golf cart is equipped with sand bottles so that you may fill in your divot. Ball marks may be replaced by placing a divot tool or tee at a 35 degree angle on the edge of the ball mark and lifting towards the center of the ball mark.
4. Please check with the golf shop for course conditions prior to play.
5. Proper Golf Attire Is Required – No Denim, T-Shirts, Cutoffs, Sweats, Etc. Allowed On The Course
6. The Orchard Is A Spike Free Golf Course.
7. Golfers who enjoy the taste of tobacco are asked to assist us in the beautification of the golf course by depositing your remains in the disposals provided on each tee box or place the remains in your golf cart.
8. Golfers who stop after nine holes to have lunch or to grab refreshments will not be able to resume play without checking with the golf shop first. The golf shop will be more than happy to work you back onto the tee, however, we will not cut off groups who continue to play at the regular pace.
9. Rule infractions will be monitored by the Orchard Members and Staff. Members have the right to call all infractions and report them to the golf shop. If you receive more than 3 infractions during your round of golf you may be asked to leave the golf course without a refund or rain check.
We sincerely thank you for your consideration of the above rules. With your help we can keep our golf course in great condition. We hope that you enjoy the course today and that your golfing experience is a pleasurable one!
